Hi everyone,
My name’s Jarrad. I’m new around here and if you’ve had any problems with ActiveKB in the past month, the odds are you’ve dealt with me as I’m now the lead developer of ActiveKB. What an honour!
I’ve been hard at work on a new release that includes a number of new features. One of these features is the ablility to use a new “Embedded” template, so that you can specify a header and footer URL to place around your knowledgebase. This will help you integrate ActiveKB into an existing site much quicker, usually in no more than 5 minutes.
On top of this we’ve also been fixing some bugs and overhauling the statistics system.
This is just the start of a slew of new features that we’re adding to ActiveKB over the next few weeks, so stay tuned. I’ll keep you updated as we go.

Hey Jarrad,
Presumably we still retain all the existing flexibility of the template based layout? (i.e. this new feature is optional?).
Cheers.
Hi,
Just thought I would drop a suggestion for ActiveKB. When a user submits a question on the front in and goes into submitted questions, can the admin answer his question but not post it. The question will be stored but will not be visible. An email would be sent with the answer embedded in the email and not the link back to the site. This would help becuase the emial would have the answer in it and the link would not work becuase it is not viewable. By storing the question this will allow the admins to see what questions are coming and the answers being given. This will help admin ensure questions are being answered appropriately.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this thought.
Awesome.. That will be great. I hope there is a button to reset statistics in Active KB.
Holy crap! I came to your site to find out how to report a bug with ActiveKB & came across not only a blog for ActiveKB, but the fact you're working on something that will soon save us much grief (the embedded template). Thanks so much!!
