Creating the AutorespondersSetting up our autoresponders is where the fun begins. Using "filter based" autoresponders, we can send out a different set of emails to different different clients, depending on which options they chose on the subscription form. By using this approach, we can deliver more targeted information to our prospective sales lead, hopefully then turning them into paid clients. Lets start with a basic example. I know that many of our subscribers have pretty solid fitness experience, but they need someone to keep them motivated and teach them some advanced body building strategies. For these subscribers, I will be using a filter based autoresponder. I'd like to send an email to "Men" that have selected "muscle building" as a goal who have noted that they are "extremely fit": ![]() I'll then create my email, which might look something like this: Dear %%FirstName%%, Thank's for contacting Fitness Boutique. One of our staff members will be in touch shortly. Did you know that Jeff, one of our lead trainers is a natural body building champion with under 10% body fat? He's extremely skilled at getting hard working gym junkies such as yourself off that damned plateau and into awesome muscle gaining mode. Jeff's usually quite busy so it's hard to catch him on the phone, but we'll try and see if he can give you a call shortly. If not, you can rest assured that he'll be there to help you get started on your journey to an awesome, rock solid body. Look forward to seeing you soon. Joanne Miller, Fitness for Life. Now this is an EXTREMELY targeted email, going out only to men that have specifically mentioned they'd like to build muscle and they have solid fitness experience. Imagine how much more receptive to Jeff's phone call this person would be after reading such an email. But it doesn't stop there. Let's say that in 2 weeks time this subscriber still hasn't become a paid customer. By setting up an autoresponder he'll automatically receive another email, hopefully enticing him further. We could send him something like this: Hey %%FirstName%%, It's Jeff from Fitness For Life. I noticed you havent come in for your free consultation just yet, so I thought i'd shoot you an email to see if there's anything I can do to convince you that now's the time to get those rock hard abs you've always wanted. I've been training and helping people for over 5 years now, and I've got the stats to prove it. Yup, Joanne was right, I have won a few body building championships but more importantly, I've helped an enormous amount of people get from good to GREAT bodies, which improved their looks, confidence, sex drive, sexual appeal, health and much much more. Take a look at these photo's and see if I can't change your mind. I'm available in the gym from 4pm till 8pm, so why don't you pop in after work? See you soon! Jeff Bridges Head Trainer Fitness for Life Once setup, we don't need to worry about these autoresponders ever again. They'll keep doing their job, over and over. Sending email after email. We can create an unlimited number of emails with each one tailored to a specific market. We can send an email to Women who want to lose body fat, or increase their level of endurance. The possibilities are limited only by your creativity. Maybe you've got a client who can benefit from setting up some "autoresponder magic"? |
