Sendstudio NX

Hi all,

A quick update on the next sendstudio. It's a big update so it's taking a little longer than we'd planned.

It's got a few key features:
- totally template driven (same as our other products)
- completely language packed
- modular design allowing modules to be built / added easily
- built in bundle of professionaly designed newsletter templates
- improved sending / autoresponder speed
- totally revamed and improved statistics
... the list goes on!

We're well on the way into development of this. We're probably about 90% of the way completed.

We've decided on our feature list for the next version, but of course you are the ones using the software so your input is always welcome!

Chris, That's great news! We anxiously await the update. I know you've already chosen, but hopefully, we'll see "forward (HTML) to a friend" and a way to just write UNSUBSCRIBE and attach the unsubscribe link to that text without having it write out the code in the newsletter. The template driven update sounds like a dream come true. Thanks to your team for doing great work!

[Editor's Note: Forward to a friend is included.. the unsubscribe link is easily modified too. ]

What about improved bounce handling That would be very exciting, indeed!

[Editor's Note: This will be included in the update too .. ]

How about a way to move SendStudio more into web publishing The program is solid as an email-sender, but we'd love to see it be engineered to post to php-enabled web-sites concurrently with the email campaign. In other words, if somehow (easily) SendStudio could mingle with Article Live In any case, we love Send Studio and look forward to any and all updates.

[ Our response: That's probably not something we're going to implement, as SendStudio is an email marketing solution, not a web publishing solution.

What would be a better solution is to use ArticleLive to publish the article, and have SendStudio retrieve the URL of the article, which you can do now already.

Alternatively, you can use the Archive feature of SendStudio to publish the newsletters to an archive folder ]

Archival feature to allow browsing of past newsletters.

[ Editors note: This feature is ALREADY available in the current version of SendStudio. ]

Wow that all sounds great! Is there also some improvement in the WYSIWYG editor For example an insert table function (Which makes it easier to position images) When can we expect the release of Sendstudio NX?

Keep up the good work!

[ Our response: Yup, there's going to be a totally new WYSIWYG editor with table support and more. I can't give you an exact date, but it will be soon. ]

Also an improvement of the WYSIWYG editor as we have alot of trouble with it.

[ Our response: The WYSIWYG Editor will be completely replaced with a new, more powerful version. The current one however, shouldnt give you a lot of trouble. If it is, there's something wrong and you should post a support ticket ]

The most important feature I am constantly asked is how can I tell who opened my newsletter or who clicked on a link. Reporting on the number of opens and clicks is great, but we need to be able to see not only how many, but a list of who acutally opened or clicked as well.

[ Editors note: This feature is ALREADY available in the current version of SendStudio ]

Image uploads from within SendStudio would be great, with a media library so you can keep a track of what to use.

[ Our response: There's already an image library and the ability to upload images from within SendStudio. When you're in the WYSIWYG editor, simply click on the image icon. Also note, that this will be highly improved in the upcoming NX version ]

Chris, Im curious. Will the new version include the possibility to export the statistic files, or a more detailed statistic output We would like to phone or paper-mail those who have clicked a link in the newsletter. Therefore we need as much as possible of information about the client who showed interest in our newsletter out of our database.

By the way: SendStudio change our business a lot, Thanks for this great software!

Is there a function to choose between sending the newsletter with mail() or SMTP In some cases it would be great for us.

[ Editors note: Yes, this already exists in the current version of SendStudio and will still be available in the NX version. ]

Would be nice if the segmentation for email sends could include some AND OR functionality to include more than list or profile field as a criteria in a more complex segmentation - this is my greatest problem with sendstudio.

Hi Chris! We are really looking forward to the NX version...
Will there be a feature that you can see who is logged on to SendStudio? Like a username in the header or something?
Will there be a possibility to search within ranges? Like people in the age of 25-30...
Is it possible that you can sort link click through stats on number of clicks?
Furthermore it would be nice if you could see more than only the E-mailaddress in Link Click Through results...
Yep! A lot of Nice2Haves... Hope they are already build in ;)
Thanks for your great work!

[ Editor's note - You can display the username in the current version. Send me a support ticket and I'll show you how. Number fields already support ranges in the current version. Stats are completely redone in the next version so a lot more information is shown in an easier format ]
