ActiveKB 1.3.7 Released

Published July 2, 2006 by Rodney Amato

Hi everyone,

This is just a quick note to let you know that ActiveKB 1.3.7 has been released. As usual you can get it from the client area. It just fixes a few new bugs which are listed below but one new thing is that it will work under IIS now provided you have ISAPI_Rewrite installed. For details on how to get it going check out this knowledge base entry. As always the update is available in the client area. Just login and download ActiveKB again to get the latest version.

For those of you waiting for the beta of NX it is pretty close. It's just going through QA and usability testing at the moment which always seems to take longer then you expect it to. At this stage I am hoping to be able to have it done for beta testing early next week but as always this might vary depending on how difficult the remaining issues are to sort out to our satisfaction.

Anyway here is the change log for ActiveKB 1.3.7

  • Fix a typo in the default .htaccess file which would prevent you searching for php when using CGI mode php.
  • Make it so that ActiveKB will work with IIS using ISAPI_Rewrite (See http://www.interspire.com/support/kb/questions/157/)
  • Fix it so that categories with a + or a quote in their name will work
  • Fix it so that contact emails from users with a . in their email address get sent from the user and not from the contact email of the ActiveKB system specified on the settings page.
  • Fix it so that the Windows template displays correctly in Safari.
  • In the Windows template, frames are now referenced by name which will allow customisations which add extra frames work more easily.
  • Fix it so that glossary terms do not lose their capitalisation when being replaced.
  • Update DevEdit to version 1.3.2
