FastFind 2005.0.8 Released

Hey everyone, just a quick note to let you know that a minor FastFind update has been released fixing a few problems users have been having. As always you can grab it from the client area simply by downloading FastFind again.

Here's the list of changes

  • Add a fix for servers that don't have the current directory in their include_path
  • Check to see if a page being served looks like a pdf and stop - regardless of the extension of the file.
  • Don't index the contents of <style></style> tags
  • Add a random string to the edit settings page to prevent it being cached
  • Modify the query strings check to strip specific query strings (e.g. index.php?a=b becomes index.php)
  • Fix paging for non english languages
  • Fix for base url not being picked up correctly if the domain didn't start with www
  • Remove extra space before saving to the database
  • Fix a typo in an error message
  • Centralize the session related code
  • Remove trailing / from xhtml compliant meta descriptions in the search results
  • Add a setting to disable using the meta description in the search results when it's available
