Published 08/14/2006 by Rodney Amato
Hey everyone, just a quick note to let you know that a minor FastFind update has been released fixing a few problems users have been having. As always you can grab it from the client area simply by downloading FastFind again.
Here's the list of changes
- Add a fix for servers that don't have the current directory in their include_path
- Check to see if a page being served looks like a pdf and stop - regardless of the extension of the file.
- Don't index the contents of <style></style> tags
- Add a random string to the edit settings page to prevent it being cached
- Modify the query strings check to strip specific query strings (e.g. index.php?a=b becomes index.php)
- Fix paging for non english languages
- Fix for base url not being picked up correctly if the domain didn't start with www
- Remove extra space before saving to the database
- Fix a typo in an error message
- Centralize the session related code
- Remove trailing / from xhtml compliant meta descriptions in the search results
- Add a setting to disable using the meta description in the search results when it's available
