ActiveKB NX2.4.1 has been released.

ActiveKB NX2.4.1 is out. It is a pretty minor update which is basically just to fix up some problems that people seem to be running into. The change log is below.

The reason I have deviated from the normal version numbering for this release is because for 2.5, the big thing I have been working on is to get the system working with utf-8. Hopefully this will fix up the issues our non English speaking customers have been having with their encoded characters being translated to the HTML entity version and should also improve searching for non English languages (provided the database is in the right format).

Anyway I am just going through and trying to find the last few issues with the utf-8 update at the moment so keep an eye out for ActiveKB NX2.5, but in the mean time you can get ActiveKB NX2.4.1 from the client area. If you want to just update the files that have changed between versions, these are listed in the docs/changelog.txt file in the zip you download from the client area.

Heres the ActiveKB NX 2.4.1 change log.

• Fix a bug that was only sending to 1 contact in a contact group from the contact page. Fix a bug that was not sending an email to the contact if no contact groups were specified.
• Fix a bug that was causing the glossary popup to not display if the glossary definition had a double quote character in it
• Updated the WYSIWYG to fix a problem that occurred when trying to insert an image into an answer.
• Add some padding to the drop down items in the backend menus
• Fix an issue with detecting when a table had been created in the upgrade script when mysql was running on windows
• Increase the padding so that list numbers at least up to 1000 are completely visible
• Fix the paging which was displaying 20, then 40, then 60 etc results per page for pages 1, 2, 3 etc correspondingly when viewing the questions in a category.
• Fix permission checking for creating/modifying glossary terms
• Fix permission checking for editing a user
• Fix some warnings that appear when you have no categories in a system and try to create a question
• Removed the getAllowedArray function in the API in favor of the similar function in the category class which has the benefit of the cache. This also fixes applying category specific permissions for a group.
