Existing SendStudio Customer: We NEED Your Help

Published February 5, 2007 by Eddie Machaalani

Hi guys. If you're an existing SendStudio customer then we'd really like to know the top 3 reasons you purchased SendStudio. Was it the price? Was it the support? The autoresponders? The ability to private label?

We're currently creating the new SendStudio NX part of our site and we want to include the most popular 3 reasons why our existing customers have purchased.

Please reply to this blog with the top 3 things that helped you decide to purchase SendStudio. If you don't want your comments made public then just let us know.

We really appreciate your help and yes, SendStudio NX is coming very very soon! We're just finalizing the upgrade script.

Sendstudio Purchase Motivators:
1 - Private Label: Very important for me as an online professional
2 - Very well priced, and good value.
3 - The scalability - one can easilly grow with licenses as your base grows.

And then finally the prospect of the NX version which all my clients are haunting me for, embedding images etc...

Hi Guys,
We just love Sendstudio, we have purchased over 30 licenses for our clients last years and they are crazy about it. The price is very good. Private labelling it is amazing for us! But the interface is the real USP. It just makes sense and is really great to work with. And Chris his support is always fast and accurate. We really look forward to the NX version... we need that language file and template based structure! Some of the new features are necessary to compete with other mailinglist managers (OemPro eg.) but i think it will be great!

Only thing I dislike is that we had to wait real long for this NX update... of course we understand that it takes loads of time. But maybe it is better that you don't talk about it so early... it has been over 14 months since your first blogs about this NX version so we started to promiss our customers the new features and some can't wait anymore!

But happy to hear its comming up!

Good Luck!

Leopold

1) Flexibility to customize the script (source included)
2) Private-labeling, because it helps to make my company look polished to my clients/customers
3) Rich functionality while still being easy to use

I purchased SendStudio because I heard from a friend that Interspire has excellent support (which I have to agree with. They've always gone above and beyond to help me), the price of the product was very affordable, and the fact that it allows multiple user accounts, with separate mailing lists, templates, etc.

Sendstudio NX, a very flexible product with rebranding possibilities and source code editing options, however since it is a product that needs to be hosted at ones own location there needs to be a thought on abuse of the IP address or domain and blacklistings for the IP/domain. Just think of a customer sending emails to some purchased mailing list, and people on that mailing list will blacklist the IP with spamcop etc. The customer and, in a shared hosting environment, perhaps also other users of this server might see themselves not being able to send emails anymore because of blacklistings (this can easily be solved by using a different originating IP / domain name of course). On the other hand, if done correctly Sendstudio NX probably is the most flexible product on the market. That allows many different users with all levels of experience to work with a professional email system, and with the approve option there is always the possibility to check lists and emails by administrators before sending, thus minimizing any risks or wrong doings!

A disadvantage could be called the lack of service level agreements, however from experience we know that support of Interspire is excellent. No special modifications to the software itself are supported. So changes to the software (if ever needed) should be done by coders that know what they are doing since any future updates from Interspire might compromise those modifications with overwriting the changed code with standard coding. But then again when would one need that, the SendstudioNX has been packed with so many features that the need for any changes is very unlikely.

Sendstudio NX can send up to 200.000 emails per session without any problems, probably even more but that would depend more on the capacity of the hosting environment than the program.

The pricing structure is very transparent and it certainly provides a very low total cost of ownership. The simple fact that you are in control of where you host Sendstudio in combination with the knowledge that you will not pay per email that is sent should say enough.

For email marketing, the choice should be SendstudioNX. Sendstudio allows for further integration into different websites for managing and tracking campaigns in an automated and very extensive manner. Besides that the auto response feature is great for creating personalized campaigns that allow for communication well in advance. Think about the fact that a website visitor needs 4-7 contact moments before he/she will trust you enough to make a purchase, automate that process with SendstudioNX and have technology work for you; thats a feature that very few other emailing-systems will offer.

There are too many great features to talk about in SendstudioNX, I owned the current Sendstudio already for quite some time, and I had the pleasure to test the beta version of the NX version. The current version was already commercially great, however the NX version surpasses my expectations by far.

To finally answer the question:
Top 3 reasons to choose Sendstudio?
1. Very low total cost of ownership
2. Almost all features you can think of are available, if not the system is flexible to add them yourself
3. Ease of use for the end users, no difficult language and transparent steps that are well documented.

Kind regards,
Richard

1. Rebrandable.
2. Full PHP source code.
3. Ability to specify your own SMTP server.

SendStudio had the number one feature I was looking for... it was 'Rebrandable', no conditions or restrictions. As a PHP coder, I didn't have the time to develop a PHP mailing app myself, so this fit the bill. Access to full PHP source code gave me the freedom to tweak, modify or change whatever I wanted.

The ability to specify an external SMTP server gave me control over my delivery timeframe, without the restriction of my ISP's hourly sending limits.
...and the included WYSIWYG editor was a bonus too.
cheers, phpuck

Hi all,

Thanks for taking the time to post your comments, they are all very much appreciated. We've taken a few comments on board for next time (trying to reduce the time between updates, not announcing the update way before it's ready etc) so we'll try to improve everyone's experiences a little more.

Quick note to Richard - I have done a couple of extra optimizations (speed & memory) to do with sending that aren't in the beta version currently so that may increase the limits slightly ;)

I'm working on some benchmark figures currently so stay tuned to see the results. My goal is to make sure it handles 1 million emails on a list with ease ;)

1). Great support thru the pre-sales forum and to my delight is excellent via the post-sales support ticket system.
2). Drop dead price for the functionality.
3). Simple installation and integration into existing websites.

Keep up the good work guys and roll-on SendStudio NX.

1. After researching various software products for email marketing, Send Studio was hands down the most powerful, was very reasonably priced and didn't require a monthly maintenance fee.

2. The crew at Interspire was/is great. They got me up and running very quickly, were always there to help me out when I got in a bind...good guys!!!

3. The software works!!! It has automated a large part of my marketing and paid for itself a month after I purchased it.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone (unless they are a direct competitor.) ;)

As the volunteer Communications Chair for a fledgling community center I need a product that other volunteers can use to send email to our members. SendStudio is the perfect balance of performance, price, ease of installation (no manual tweaking of config files!) and ease of use. So:

1. Simple interface and easy to use features.
2. Price.
3. Data Collection and management.

Interspire's Tech Support is also top notch. When we installed a form on our home page and couldn't get it working (we'd missed a bit of code in the copy/paste operation duh!) the Interspire techs checked it out and told us how to correct it. Incredible support!

I have used SendStudios features and ease-of-use to encourage the provider of a MUCH more expensive product (to the company I work for during the day) to improve their email solution.

I eagerly anticipate the next version!

Warmest regards,
Craig Burdett

Is this thread still alive? Just doing research and I need to convince my bosses to let me install this one on our server.
We've been doing a bad job lately. With a list size around 900 emails, we have been sending out HTML newsletters/product announcements without having an unsubscribe link. Not good, I know.
Also, I need some help with multi-lingual support. I want to let some of our branch offices use SendStudio (add them as users) but they're in other countries and using other languages.
Looking forward to learning more about the positive experiences people have had with SendStudio.
