MySQL Version

Hi All,
Just a quick post - I was wondering what version of mysql most people have access to.
Why? Different versions have different features - so knowing what people are running will allow us to decide how to approach different issues.
For example mysql 4.1 and above support subqueries (which are extremely handy), so if most people are running that version, that gives us a lot more flexibility when designing products and/or updates.
So can you please post a comment with your mysql version - thanks!

mysql 4.0.27 on 1&1 linux server. it is possible to create a database in v5 but they say its still in development and would not recommend it. only if really necessary. I wouldn't mind donating a database v5 for testing with 1&1.

Hi,
We always use 4.1 (current 4.1 of the FreeBSD ports to be accurate) We are thinking of using 5 and have one server running it but no great demand yet.. PHP on the otherhand... :) Cheers, Darren |
