2 New Store Designs for Interspire Shopping Cart

While we work on a few final things for Interspire Shopping Cart, today we launched two great new store designs: a bookstore and an automotive store:

We designed these templates based specifically on the 100+ requests we had from this blog post, so thanks for taking the time to leave feedback - as you can see, we listen and read every single comment. As well as these two templates, we have another dozen or so under development, and will be rolling them out non stop for the rest of the year at a rate of 2-3 per week, until we have hundreds of templates.

If you have purchased the beta of Interspire Shopping Cart, you can download the new store designs using the one-click downloader from the "Store Design" link in your store's control panel. If you haven't purchased Interspire Shopping Cart, basically whenever we push a new store design live, instead of having to download the HTML files from us, you simply click a link in your store's control panel and you can  instantly see any new store designs that we've released since you last checked. It's a much easier way to get new store designs instead of having to FTP the files up to your store.

We're looking good for a first official release next week. At the moment we're ironing out the final bugs (all are tiny, such as interface tweaks, etc) and finishing up on the product marketing collateral. Today we also launched our partner program, however there will be an official blog post with accompanying press release in the next few days regarding that.

We've had quite a lot of people ask why we don't have a demo of Interspire Shopping Cart up yet, and the answer is simply because it's still in beta. When the release is ready we will of course have a full product demo, screenshots, videos, etc.

Mitch:
Apparently I cannot download the templates because my server doesn't allow external connections? What connections need to be open?

Hi Jay. Your server needs to support cURL or allow_url_fopen - if you just shoot your web host an email they should be able to enable one or the other for you.

Thanks Mitch. We host our own sites internally so I'll just add the support and I guess shoot you an email if I have any trouble.
