Developers Rejoice: The Interspire Developer Network is Here
Published 07/15/2008 by Mitchell Harper
Our internal mantra for 2008 is "operation integration", and building our products so they can both pull and push data via their own (and any third party) API continues to be at the top of our agenda as we slide into the second half of 2008.
One of the first steps we've taken to make our products more open is the launch today of the Interspire Developer Network. Built by developers, for developers, the Interspire Developer Network:
- Provides API documentation along with examples for our products. Interspire Email Marketer's API documentation is the first to be published.
- Shows partners, designers and developers everything they need to know to private label (here and here) and customize the templates for our products (here and here)
- Contains blogs by our developers and a community forum where developers can discuss API integration, design and customization, etc
The two most popular API articles so far are the
Interspire Shopping Cart template customization guide and the
Interspire Email Marketer API guide. If you're a developer then please also feel free to leave comments and ask questions at the bottom of articles in the Interspire Developer Network.
This is the first of many initiatives on our "operation integration" checklist for the rest of the year. We will be making some major announcements in the coming months regarding integration and interoperability so stay tuned.
