  • "DevEdit is probably the best WYSIWYG HTML editor I've come across. Its user interface is great, it's easily customizable and has some unique features, such as editable regions, that I haven't seen in other similar products.

    I used the free htmlArea for a couple of years in all my projects, but since the project was discontinued, I had to find another solution. I wanted a product I could easily get support for, that had a wide range of features and good cross-browser-compatibility, that would be easy to set up and first of all, that would be as problem free and easy to use as possible.

    DevEdit fulfilled all my requirements, and in some ways, even exceeded them. One thing I really loved in it, was the possibility to restrict the editing to pre-defined editable regions. The editor was also really easy to set up, because of the good installation documentation and quick customer support.

    Although I'm really satisfied with DevEdit, it has some downsides as well. The restricted editing contains some minor bugs (which Interspire has promised to fix in future updates) and language customization does not yet cover the whole editor.

    All in all, DevEdit is - if not the THE best - at least one of the best WYSIWYG HTML editors out there. It comes with good customer support and and solid development team and I really look forward in to using it for a long time in my upcoming projects." - Timo Favorin, promptmedia.com
