url changes

Where do you go to change the url structure that AL generates. Example:

"http://www.mysite.com/ArticleLive/categories/test/"

I want to change it to this:

"http://www.mysite.com/ArticleLive/test/"


What file do I go to to do this? btw, I see you guys seem to have this policy on not helping out folks who want to try new things w/ your software. Personally, I don't know what is considered a major change, but you guys @ Interspire should guide people on making minor custom changes (such as telling them where the files are to make the changes)... after all - with all the bugs I'm seeing, you should be glad people are "beta testing" and adding input to a product that I struggled with installing (but managed to figure it out). Good customer support is the key to staying alive cuz word of mouth travels fast - that goes for both good and bad... ;) btw, check out www.litecommerce.com - those guys help w/ lots of customizations... so let's be friends and help each other out - whaddya say?

Hi Tim,

I supplied you with quite a lot of info on how to do this, and told you it's a significant change involving quite a lot of work.

We'll gladly point out where to look on how to change something (see my recent posts), but we won't actually do the change for you. We just don't have the time to do that for everybody.

If we did customise your software, then when it comes time to upgrade (either new version or just bugfixes - doesn't matter), you'd want us to do the upgrade - so we'd have to re-customise your site again - which would take another x hours/days. I'm sure you can understand why we say no customisations now....

The other site does do customisations - but you pay for it per hour. If you upgrade your software, you'd have to get it customised again (and pay again).
