You entered myroot for the database user and database for the database name instead of [YourServerPrefix]_myroot for the database user and [YourServerPrefix]_database for the database name.

cPanel database setups through shared servers build the databases based on the first 8 characters of the domain unless it's a common name on the server you are on. So if your domain is greatairplanes.com your server prefix will be greatair or greatai1 or something of that nature.

Since you've shown the database names and users to the whole world here, I'd recommend you use a different database name and user for the real thing.

okedokie: If your server runs cpanel, your database credentials will be:

Database Name: greatair_databasename

Username: greatair_username

Host: localhost

The 'databasename' and 'username' will be subject to the names you created in cPanel.

Will it ever be possible for those who purchased Interspire through a Reseller, to gain access to the Interspire forums? I've paid for the software - so why can't I get support, without having to relay everything through my reseller? This could be a complete disaster for those who purchase Interspire software from a sole trader type company, especially if the reseller (ie. sole trader) goes on holiday...

We all care, our business depends on it. Apparently Interspire doesn't, they spent all their energy on Big Commerce ... leaving us in the cold. Also, there won't be a 5.0.7, but a 5.1 and it won't be released on time before my support license expires :-(
The 9 months extra free extension is pretty useless for me.

That's because they changed their policy. Now people with an active maintenance plan can get upgrades so they have no reason to call it v6. just kidding...maybe

Go to this URL, is the shipping enabled here too:
Code:
http://www.yourdomain.com/admin/index.php?ToDo=viewShippingSettings
Then Shippin Zones>Edit Settings (for the Zone), then ensure Japan is checked and 'Enable Shipping Zone?' is checked. Then Shipping Methods>Edit(or Add) and Enable Shipping Method.

How does it work now?

Damn Interspire, purchasing through a reseller makes support and access to this forum impossible, regardless what the reseller tells you - this is all rubbish, I would advise everyone to purchase directly from Interspire.

Two things I came across:

First:

When specifying a shipping method, under the "Fixed shipping quotes", the Ship by weight option has a small problem. You see, when you select ship by weight, if you have multiple items in your cart, the way the shipping is calculated is by adding all the weights together, then coming up with a result. In most cases I assume this would be fine, but consider you have set the default shipping price to $99 (which would be correct for 25lbs)...and you define the various weights/costs all the way up to 120lbs...well if your cart weight total passes 120lbs, it defaults back to $99.
So a solution would be to add a "Ship by weight PER ITEM" option. Calculating the shipping price of an item based on its weight, then combining that shipping price with the shipping price of the other items in the cart, this way it stays accurate for such orders.

Second:

More of a suggestion, it would be fantastic to have the option to set the default quantity of an item to a specific number, say if you sell a "set" of something. And have discounts applied when they buy a "set" rather than a single item, as it would be more costly to produce a single.
