$300

Who do you think you are.... Interspire?

Sorry, that's a bit too rich for my blood, Chris. I'm glad you figured out a solution... and good luck with your sales.

I echo the point made above. The issue should really be addressed by Interspire but they have no intention of doing it as it is not in their interest. It looks like they are blanking all customers on this one which is a shame..

Interspire is the one who wrote the code that they felt a $ discount per item is the best thing for you, not the cart total. I had so much embarrassment when I sent out a huge mailing and it was taking the $20 off each item instead of the total.

So we spend hours fiddling with the code and tweaking all the little flaws, testing, tweaking, and it takes up to 3 hours to do the modifications in a fresh install. You are paying for the labor and the work, and it's not a simple drop in module due to many variables like which version you are running.

We improved 3 things: changed the % or $ amount to be off an item, or off the cart total. We made the coupon applicable to new, return, or any customers, and number of uses per customer or total. That's a lot of work!

If having a $ coupon off the total order is not important, than don't use a $ coupon, use a percentage. If you want to offer $ of a total order, you can't and it will take the $ off each item. This is for those people who need that. I do.

And it's only $150 to the first person who wants to give a testimonial of how it worked for them, installed, with support btw so it's running flawless.

If you need a solution, we did it because Interspire won't...

I'll happily give you a testimonial without the code if you'll let me find the bugs you've left in it...

Frankly, as has been pointed out... Interspire should be paying you about $40k for the work and then giving it for free to the rest of us... but oh, what's that I see... Oh sorry, pigs flying over in formation...

Default OK! $199.95 to fix the coupon code.

Ok, $199.95 installed. Posted 2 pics: one from cart before finishing & the other from edit order view.

Took out $20 off the order, no matter how many items or item quantities, it totals $20. We fixed the problem with a code hack.

PM me to talk further, or use paypal to: nagaco@gmail.com and we will set up when we can install.

Was subtracting a small amount from each product the only way you could get it to work? I'd rather just see the $20 subtracted off the total.

Yes, the only way to get it to work. Remember, this was written with their idea of coupons, not ours.... And they used a sampling method that was not taking off exactly $20. It was slightly different.

It would be nice to just take the total off the order. We have to work with what we are given....

Here is the latest info on this from a recent email from an Interspire Software Engineer about this thread and issue.

Quote:
We are currently tracking this issue in our project management software at the following address:

https://track.interspire.com/browse/ISC-270

From the looks of it it has been scheduled to be fixed for version 5.2. Right now we are in the last stages of releasing version 5.1, and then 5.2 will follow after that. So I would assume that it should be taken care of within the next few months.
