A Quick Word
Welcome to the August 2005 issue of the Interspire newsletter.
We didn't get a chance to send out last months newsletter, so this months
issue comes packed with twice the content!
Firstly, I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Jordie -- our newest team member who's been with us
for the last couple of weeks. Jordie has taken over ArticleLive development and will be releasing a major upgrade shortly. Jordie's extremely talented -- and loves his coffee -- so expect great things from him.
Along with his regular exclusive template, Joe's been busy
working on a new ArticleLive template. We think it looks great and it's available for download
here.
Joe's also provided a couple of great articles for this months
newsletter, including how to use PHP includes in WebEdit and
also how to create a great collapsible menu with JavaScript.
On top of all this, the new DevEdit is almost ready for beta testing and development
of the next SendStudio release is well under way.

Building an Expanding DHTML menu in with CSS & Javascript
Let's build a menu...
this is not like your normal dropdown menu, which appears at the top of your content.
These menus expand and remain visible until they are collapsed with the click of a mouse. The menu content actually expands with your page content, pushing
down whatever is below the menu - so it can actually be used for more then just a menu (I might explore that a little later in another tutorial).

JavaScript and DHTML at the moment. There's always something new to do with
these amazing technologies, but it's so important to know the basics.
- Mozilla Corporation - Save your pennies up for when these guys go public.
- A Very Big Ad - It's not a big ad, well it is, but it's just a bunch (a massive bunch) of people running around in a field. I think it's Australian (hence the .com.au)

Just a quick post to let everyone know that we've got a new team member on board. His name is Jordie and he's working with our main team in the Sydney office. He's quickly gotten up to speed on ArticleLive and is handling product updates and also the majority of ArticleLive support, so expect a product update fairly soon!

Signing Out For Now
Well that's the August issue for you. We've got some great things planned for ArticleLive and our upcoming product updates
(a new product is even in the works), but I'm sworn to secrecy...
I myself will now be getting stuck into some more of those ArticleLive templates, because building this months ArticleLive template was a real primer to give me some idea of what ArticleLive is really capable of, and it was fun! (no really)
Before I go, I will end with this (because I'm kind of a sad one liner type of guy),
" You can do just about anything if you make sure that you press the right buttons, in the right order, at the right time... "
- I believe that I made that one up myself, so I will take full credit, but I might have read part of that in a half asleep state on the road to template jd_c035.
