A Quick Word

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Welcome to the June 2004 issue of the Interspire newsletter! It's still a fairly busy time for us, as we get ready to launch various product updates and finalize feature requests for future product releases.

As you may or may not know, as well as being the Interspire product manager, I also lead the WebEdit Platinum development team. If you're a current WebEdit Platinum customer, then you would have received a beta release of SiteBox 2004 (the new name for WebEdit Platinum) in your inbox last week.

To the 50+ people who provided us with solid feedback after testing, I just wanted to say a quick thanks! All of the bugs you reported have been removed and we're just in the process of adding a few more templates to the site builder before we release.

For all SendStudio customers, you'll be pleased to know that the next version -- entitled SendStudio 2004 -- is nearly complete. All features and bugs have been addressed, and now we're working on giving it our new "2004 look" and updating the documentation.

Here are some "in progress" SendStudio 2004 screenshots if you're interested:

Last but not least, planning for ArticleLive PHP is complete and development has commenced. We're looking at about 2-3 months before we have a working alpha version. Remember, if you haven't already done so, let us know if you're interested in being emailed when ArticleLive for PHP is released.

Anyway, enough from me. I'll leave you to enjoy the rest of the newsletter. As always, if you have any questions or comments, just email me.

Behind SiteBox's FTP Wrapper

SiteBox 2004 is the new name for the next version of WebEdit Platinum, which we will be releasing shortly. Today I'll go in-depth and describe how FTP works "behind the scenes" to let you edit web sites hosted on remote servers.

"Today I’ve decided to share the workings of SiteBox's FTP wrapper class with you. Please note that in this article I will assume that you have an intermediate to advanced level of PHP knowledge..."

Conclusion

That marks the end of our newsletter for June. Look out for next months issue, which will contain information about the PHP version of ArticleLive 2004 as well as a status update on ActiveKB 2004.

Until then, I'll catch you in the forums...
