How are the "Featured Articles" and "Recent Articles" titles renamed or limited to another number?

You can rename and limit these lists by going to the "Menus & Lists" section in your control panel, then clicking on 'Edit' for these lists. There you can modify the title, and the next field under the title lets you specify how many to show. Click 'Save' and the lists should be updated on your website.
