Interspire Website Publisher uses URLs that mimic the appearance of static html files for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) purposes. To achieve this, but still use dynamic content from a database, it requires URL rewriting software on the server.

If your links are working, it will most likely be due to this program not working, not existing or not being configured appropriately. Interspire Website Publisher has a set of its own "rewrite rules" which the program uses for the URLs to function.

Depending on your server, you will use one program or another.
