You can edit your home page by logging into your control panel, then going to the "Manage Pages" section, then clicking edit on the page named "Home".

The content of this page will, by default, just be this placeholder:

%%HomePageContent%%
You can then put content before or after this placeholder. The placeholder marks the position where the recent news, blogs, articles and featured articles will show up in relation to the text you place on this page.

For example, if you were to enter this:

Hello Everybody! Welcome to my article website!
%%HomePageContent%%
Some more text here.

The first line would then show at the very top of the home page, then the  last line would show at the very bottom.
