If you set a max hourly limit of 1000 emails Interspire Email Marketer will spread your send rate out so that it does not exceed this limit. If you then want to send to 50000 emails then the send will take 50 hours.

Sending via cron means that all the sending is done in the background on the server so you can hit send and then close the application and your sending will continue.

If you choose to pause this send at a later time Interspire Email Marketer will also remember where it is up to in the send so that you can resume at a later date and not send duplicate emails.
