The quick search box is a floating toolbar that is available from every page in the control panel. By default it is positioned at the top of the page and looks like this:



When you move your mouse close to the quick search toolbar it changes from a faded appearance to having a more solid look, like this:



You can easily drag the quick search toolbar to any position on the page, simply by holding down the left mouse button over the words Quick Search and dragging:



The position of the quick search toolbar will remain the same once it's moved. You can search for customers from the quick search toolbar by typing in any one of a number of the customer's details, such as:

• First name
• Last name
• Full name
• Customer ID
• Email address
• Phone number
• Company

Simply type any of these details (full, such as "john@example.com" or partial such as "@example.com") into the quick search toolbar and press enter. You will then see how many customers were found for your search terms. Clicking on the link will allow you to see complete details of each customer:
