Before a customer can use a coupon code you must create the coupon code. See this article for help on creating a coupon code. Once you have created the coupon code it's easy for your customers to use it. Here's how:

1. Provide the customer with the unique code that was generated when you created the coupon code.
2. When the customer has found and added the products they would like to purchase to their cart, they should click the View Cart link in your store to be taken to their cart
3. They will see a box where they can enter their coupon code
4. After they enter the coupon code and click the Go button, the discount associated with the coupon code will be applied to any products in their cart for which the coupon code was associated when it was created

After they have placed their order you will be able to see if they used a coupon code for their order. To do this, just follow the steps below:

1. Click the Orders tab and choose the Search Orders menu option
2. Type the coupon code you want to track into the Coupon Code box and click Search
3. Any orders for which the customer used that coupon code will be displayed
