When a customer visits your site and is not logged in, then they are considered a guest. If you have customer groups set up, and would like to define what group guest customers belong to then follow the steps below.
- Log in to the control panel.
- Click the blue Settings link at the top of the page. This will cause a menu to appear.
- Then click Store Settings.
- When the page loads you will need to click the Miscellaneous Settings tab.
- You should now see an area labeled Customer Group Settings. If not please scroll down a bit until you do.
- Next to Customer Group for Guests you should see a box that contains all the customer groups set up for the shopping cart. Select the group that you would like guest to belong to when they visit your store.
