Why won't my product images upload when I'm creating new products?

You need to check the permissions for the product_images folder that is in the root folder of the shopping cart installation using your favorite FTP program. It is likely that the permissions are not high enough to allow product images to be uploaded. You'll need for that folder and all subfolders to be either 757 or 777.

Note: Some FTP programs call permissions "authorizations" or "file attributes".
