    Although I'm really satisfied with DevEdit, it has some downsides as well. The restricted editing contains some minor bugs (which Interspire has promised to fix in future updates) and language customization does not yet cover the whole editor.

  • WebEdit Pro is just what I've been looking for!...
    My company doesn't offer programming, and clients were always asking for the ability to update their own web site. In the past, I had to send them to someone else, or work with another company that offers those services. But now with this software, I can quickly, easily and cheaply offer each client the ability to update their own site whenever they need to. Even clients that know nothing about the internet didn't have any trouble using the software, because of its similarities to MS Word. Overall a great product and well worth the money.

  • First of all, I want to say that when it's my first time with a new (selling) company on the web, I'm very cautious with what I buy from whom! I always try to find out how serious someone's business is... and I was really surprised at the clear and helpful responses the guys at WEBEDPRO gave me concerning their software! It immediately made me feel like I was at the right place!

    And after trying the demo software online, I was sure this was what I needed for some of my clients (and my own site). The only thing was that there was a problem with DHTML layers. But not to worry! With the teams help we fixed the issue via chat, and within an hour the program was working on my server! Flawlessly... complete WYSIWYG control at the tip of your fingers, for a very reasonable prince, if you ask me.

    I can rattle along about all the handy aspects of the program, but I think that becomes clear from the online demo! My message to you web developers (and others) out there, just try it, and I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

    Whizzed through setting up another user, whizzed through re-configuring the header, footer and css. Three clients sold already and two more are demo-ing the program tonight. Documentation is clear and intelligible, everything works flawlessly, server load is minimal, the php is clean and elegant.

    Once in a long, long while we find something as well-written, supported and documented as your program, and believe me we have waded through hundreds of services and apps.

    In my 6 years of selling web sites, I've learned a couple of lessons about this stuff:

    1) I'll be honest. The more I learn about programming, the less I can relate to my average customer -- when I'm trying to tech support them. I appreciate the fact that as technically advanced as you are, you have not
    lost touch with that.

    2) It's rare that a software vendor offers such a guarantee: "We'll get it running for you". Microsoft should be ashamed. Bill Gates needs to give up the "Richest man in the world" award. I vote that you be given the
    money!!!

    I have no doubt that my customers will squeal with glee when they see what I (you) have made possible for them.

    I'll let you know if I need any help. In the meantime, I can't thank you and your team enough for making our web development services more valuable.

    As a new user of Web Edit Pro I just wanted to say what a delight it is to use the software. I took advantage of the free installation. Although the instructions are quite clear why do it yourself when somebody else will do it for free!

    Its simplicity itself to edit pages. Your tagline of “point.click.edit” almost makes it sound harder than it actually is. Ive shown it to the Client who cant wait to see it up and running on his site.

    There is one small problem. Being so easy to use its all too easy to spend all day changing the site. Next release, please make it a bit harder!

    I look forward to a long relationship working with WebEdit Pro. Its one of the few tools I feel confident to recommend to my Clients.

  • The website for our church was getting badly out of date because all updates had to go through one very busy person. We spent several weeks looking for the simplest web-maintenance package we could acquire and install on the computers of all the staff members, who could then be responsible for updating their own sections of the site. The cost estimate was getting pretty steep - and the potential installation time and learning curve even steeper. Then a colleague, who was dealing with a similar situation for a client of his, found WebEdit during the course of his solutions-research. He told me about it, and -- voila! -- within a few days we bought it, and the WebEdit folks installed it on the church website. Now, I do "heavy duty" updates to the site with Dreamweaver, but I no longer have to get involved with the many schedules and event-announcements that get posted on the site. Our pastor, our office manager, youth director, et al, can now update their own areas directly. And we didn't have to install any new software on their computers.
    WebEdit Pro is a blessing.
