Default ajax hack?

Hi there,

I'm trying to implement ajax into my sendstudio signup-form.
What kind of hack would I need to either disable the 'thank you'/'error page' links, or is there a simpler way of doing this? I tried just putting # in the textfields, but this still triggers the error page.

I basically just want there to be text that says 'Thank you for registering' after you click the sign up button; no redirect. I can do a 'fake' text come up - but to make it work directly with sendstudio (and e.g. show an error message if its an invalid address) I'm not really sure how to do.. It keeps redirecting me..

Possible?

Thanks!
Tom

Hi Tom,

You'll probably have to copy the /form.php file and make some modifications to it so it doesn't print out or redirect.

Note - that using AJAX will only work on the same domain. That is, if you install sendstudio on domain.com but your website is otherdomain.com, trying to use AJAX will *not* work - your browser will stop the request because it's a cross-site scripting permission problem.

Ahhhh, I didn't think of that.. In that case I'll have to put it on hold for a while. I'll post my mod here though if I do it for my own domain.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom,

No problems. I'd hate for you to go to all the trouble of making the changes and then for it not to work (because of the cross-site domain issue), so thought I'd mention in just in case (plus so others know why sendstudio doesn't use ajax already)
