Default 300,000 email list, Server recommendation?

Hello everyone, I have a BIG list of emails, over 300,000. What server do you recommend to install interspire marketing on?

I'm new to this, so any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I would just go with a dedicated SMTP service such as Interspire SMTP.
If you are going with your own dedicated, i would personally go with a Linux running Red Hat. However, running your own server always means adjusting all the settings to suit your needs. Can be a pain, especially from a security standpoint. Also, you may have to manually get your ip whitelisted with some email client and internet service providers.

An off-the-shelf quad core server, with 2-4Gb ram, should easily do what you want.
If you find a dedicated server host you like and need support for your mailing activities we can configure your server and domains, optimise and provide full support and advice to help you get the best out of IEM.

Last year,
I have tried with a old sun-sparc dual 300mhz x2 server box,which is loaded with Solaris 10 OS;
it works great.IEM can do well for handling xxx,xxx emails.
Or tune more slice time for runing a php scripts in your php.ini.
And no need special setting for sendmail script too,
IEM isnt bad.
Memo: Do all scripts and data backup first before performing updates/mods to current system.
