Default Major Bug: permission denied for bounce

None of my users can process bounces.

Everything checks out - bounce acct. login, cron, permissions, everything.

When user goes to process bounces automatically and then clicks on the "Ok, thanks for the help" button, they get a funky permission denied page that doesn't look right in itself.

Something VERY, VERY wrong with IEM bounce processing. Big time.

See attachment.

Thanks

You may have bounce processing checkbox unticked in that users account (login to your admin area and enable it) ?

Can you screen shot them for me?

P.S Why are you not settting up fully automated bounce processing for your clients? Letting them process bounce emails is bound to cause usability issues.

All the clients I set up an account for have automatic bounce processing enabled so they don't need to worry about it.

i did that but when I hit the "ok, thanks for the help" button, I get the error in the screen shot, which makes me wonder if its setup at all. My client wants to be able to see the bounces so he can manually cross reference with customers for granular reasons.

I get this generic page with the error in the screen shot. Very strange and indicative of a bug.

Can you send me a screen shot of your actual permissions. I have had this error before and it was caused by permissions.

Hello all-

It sounds like dsmflash, and some of the other users on this thread are suffering from a known issue with IEM:

https://track.interspire.com/browse/IEM-198

If you check in the bug report, there is a suggested fix, which should resolve the issue on your install. If you need help applying the patch, just open a support ticket, and reference the bug report number (IEM-198), and we will be happy to apply the fix for you. This fix should also be included with future releases of the software.

Best regards,
