Default Triggers for Autoresponders

Hi'

I wish to set up a trigger, that is activated when an autoresponder is opened.
Is this not possible?
Apparently, I can only use triggers in connection with e-mail campaigns.
Is this true?
- And, if so, is there some kind of work-around?

Best regards
Thor

I have a quote for about $500-$800 by a PHP dev firm with experience in IEM. Does anyone want to share the cost?
