Hi Terri,

Thanks, I'll make sure that page gets updated.

Could you send me the contents of your user_bounce_rules.php file (email them to chris AT interspire . com if you don't mind) ? I can add them to the main app.. the more rules we have the better.

I used these instructions: http://www.interspire.com/support/kb...+NX+version%3F

Thanks in advance for updating them!

Peace,

Sure will, Chris.

Before I do that...why would the "delayed 24/48/72 hours" messages from Yahoo not be deleted? Here's an example email:

Code:
From MAILER-DAEMON Fri Apr 11 08:21:17 2008
Return-path: <>
Envelope-to: bounceproc@solo-e.com
Delivery-date: Fri, 11 Apr 2008 08:21:17 -0400
Received: from mailnull by breezy.shshosting.com with local (Exim 4.63)
    id 1JkIFo-0000yW-J4
    for bounceproc@solo-e.com; Fri, 11 Apr 2008 08:21:16 -0400
Auto-Submitted: auto-replied
From: Mail Delivery System
To: bounceproc@solo-e.com
Subject: Warning: message 1JjvUR-0000UV-5c delayed 24 hours
Message-Id:
Date: Fri, 11 Apr 2008 08:21:16 -0400
Status: R Simple headers
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent has not yet been delivered to one or more of its
recipients after more than 24 hours on the queue on breezy.shshosting.com.

The message identifier is: 1JjvUR-0000UV-5c
The subject of the message is: =?UTF-8?B?TWFrZSBNb3JlIE1vbmV5IEV2ZW4gb24gYSBTbWFsbCBCdWRnZXQ=?=
The date of the message is: Thu, 10 Apr 2008 08:00:24 -0400

The address to which the message has not yet been delivered is:

 tmpincurves@yahoo.com
Delay reason: SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
   host b.mx.mail.yahoo.com [66.196.97.250]: 421 Message from (66.103.144.235) temporarily deferred - 4.16.50. Please refer to http://help.yahoo.com/help/us/mail/defer/defer-06.html

No action is required on your part. Delivery attempts will continue for
some time, and this warning may be repeated at intervals if the message
remains undelivered. Eventually the mail delivery software will give up,
and when that happens, the message will be returned to you.
The "after more than 24 hours" standard bounce rule should get these deleted, right?

Thanks,
Terri Z

Hi Terri,

It's probably not picking up because of the subject.

If you add:

'delayed 24 hours'

to the $GLOBALS['BOUNCE_RULES_SUBJECT'] in the admin/resources/bounce_rules.php file, it should pick it up.

It should look like:

PHP Code:
$GLOBALS['BOUNCE_RULES_SUBJECT'] = array(
.....

'Mail Delivery Problem',

'delayed 24 hours'
Note you have to put a comma on the end of the previous line.

Thanks, Chris - that did the trick!

I added 3 lines, 'delayed 24 hours', 'delayed 48 hours', and 'delayed 72 hours'. Can you please add these to the next version of SendStudio?

Thanks,
Terri Z

Default relaying denied

How do I mark this rule as soft and not hard bounce

smtp;550 relaying denied for

I see bounce_rules.php in row 613 is marking as hard bounce but this is not a hard bounce:

$GLOBALS['BOUNCE_RULES']['hard']['relayerror'][] = 'relaying denied';

Should I just set it to soft in the same rule?
