Hi Almeister,

IEM is just a PHP web application, so applying SSL is a function of your web hosting company. It's just like SSL-protecting a Wordpress website... there's nothing unique about IEM to get SSL to work.

You should consult your webhost, but probably they will help you with the install of it to the server. You may need to put your IEM install in a specific directory. You may also probably want to edit .htaccess to ensure all insecure http requests are redirected to https.

https://letsencrypt.org/ is a great source to get a free SSL cert.

Good luck!

I have tested this and you need no changes. Simply add an s to http:// in your store URL in the Settings -> Store Settings section and it works.

Note: You may want to add somthing in .htaccess to make people who type in http:// rather than https so that it redirects.

If not, it will still work - any click they click on will direct them to a secure page.

Changing will probably have profound SEO ramifications thou - I would research these first.
