Exclamation Sending Limits with v 6.1.6

We have installed IEM v 6.1.6 on a new URL and database (basically a fresh start) and use the same SMTP server. We are finding that v 6.1.6 is only sending 60 to 90 emails at a time and then stopping.

We have to pause the campaign and resume to get the campaign to continue until hits the next 60 to 90 address.

Anyone else running into this or having issues with campaigns just stopping?

No, we've been running 6.1.6 just fine... so sounds like something either on the web server config or the SMTP server. I would suggest as a first step enabling logging and seeing if that provides any details. Edit file:

Change line 339 to "true"

Logs are found in directory: "/admin/temp"

Generates 2 files named: 'email.debug.log' and 'email_memory.debug.log'

Scan those to see if there is any useful insight as to the problem.

If that doesn't help then contact your web host and confirm CRON job is setup correctly. Or maybe there is some health module that is killing the process? See if you can get access to or they can give you Apache logs and look for errors that match up with times when the campaign stops.

If the web server config seems fine, check the SMTP server connection. Perhaps it is dropping. Are you using a shared SMTP server? Try connecting your IEM to an alternative SMTP server to rule out the initial server as the problem.

Hope this helps steer you in the right direction!
