Default Extra clicks - link statistics don't match Google Analytics

Hello,

I have been analysing the results of my emails, and have seen that the link statistics do not match the page views shown in Google Analytics.

Each email has an individual utm code so that I can track the relevant traffic on my website. However Interspire is showing a greater number of unique clicks to the website for each email than I can see in Analytics for the corresponding emails.

Often the Interspire statistics show multiple clicks from one user within the same minute, and even the same second.

Is there an explanation for this? And should I rely on the data from Google Analytics instead of the statistics in Interspire?

Finally, is there a way to fix this problem, or to make the Interspire data more reliable?

Many thanks.

Nigel , this happens a lot with B2B mails, also B2C but much more with B2B.
This is caused by anti-virus/anti-spam appliances that actually negotiate the URL.

The KPI's in Google Analytics are much more complete and correct in such a case.
