![]() I am receiving the following error when trying to setup a new install of Knowledge Manager 5.1.1.
Error: Unable to select database 'IT KnowledgeBase': Server / DB Details: * MS SQL Server 2005 Express or MS SQL Server 2008 (tried both) * SQL Authentication - sa / Test1234 * PHP 5.2.9-2 * Windows Server 2003 * IIS I can connect to the database using C# and MS SQL Management Studios both remotely and from the same box. I am using the server name and NOT localhost. Has anyone ran into this issue or does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? Many thanks in advance. -Steve |

![]() Did you ever get a resolution to this issue?
Is it because you've got a space in the name of your database perhaps? |

![]() Yes. This has been resolved along with many other "bugs" that I found in 5.1.0 and 5.1.1. Aside from the bugs, there were several aspects contributing to this issue including, but not limited to:
1. Cannot use server name for the db server, must use FQDN, ie. myserver.mydomain.com 2. Cannot use a space in the db name 3. In Windows you must either add a new environmental variable for the php.ini file to be found or add a key to the registry, or move your php.ini to the Windows directory 4. While IKM supports LDAP now, it does not support Windows/LDAP authentication for its connection to the DB Thanks for checking... |
