Unhappy Landing page created... how to link back to the old home page?

Hi Everyone,

I have created my landing page, based on my interspire template. I figured that i would just set the landing page to "Home" which i can do easily through the control panel, View Web Pages. But when i do that, i don't have any way of linking back to the "old" home page. How do i do this?

It seems like it should be simple enough, maybe i am just missing something.

Can any one help with this please.....please.... pretty please :-)

Amanda

So here are some links to help explain what i am trying to do.

This is the standard home page the ISC created based on my template of chose: http://www.onduty.com.au/shop/

I want to be able to link/re-create this page after i have set my landing page to my 'home' page.

I have created my landing page (currently called testing) and that can be found here: http://www.onduty.com.au/shop/pages/Testing.html

I can successfully set Testing.html to be my home page, but once i do that i am unable to link back to what is currently being displayed as home ( http://www.onduty.com.au/shop/ )

I have attempted to re-create it.... but it just isn't up to par (http://www.onduty.com.au/shop/pages/Shop-ON-DUTY.html)

Do i need to create a new template for that layout, or can i somehow link back to the old page??

Any help or suggestions on things to try would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

From what I can see, I wouldn't have created a sub folder called shop, bad for SEO.

The front page is created from the various panels in inter spire, so everything you have done cane be done for the home page. I don't follow why you have created a home page of the interspire pages. You need to mod your default layout and pull in panels with your content.

That way all pages will always return to your homevpage.

I really like your banner slider where is from could you post me a link.

Thanks for your quick response.... this is just our development site...so it won't be in a sub folder once launched.. (hence why there are still things called testing!).

That was my next move.. i just thought that perhaps i had overlooked a simpler way.

The image slider was created with WOWSlider....very easy to use, and to integrate into a panel.
