There is an easy and not so easy answer to this...

Basically product data is stored in a table... for example:

Product Name, Code, Price etc.

Product variations however cannot be stored in the same table - The data is 3 dimensional. You require two tables - one for product data and a second for variation data. Its therefore not really possible to easily export the data to a single file - a single csv file is not capable of storing the product and variation data.

The system should be able to export the varitation data (in the same format that it accepts it for import) Thou, I question what you would do with such a file once you got it?

Thanks for uploading the guide! Will there be updates on it every once in a while so that one should check back?

I'm worried about the ammount of spam on this forum. I was thinking of using interspire to run a new online store we are stting up but this kind of thing makes me wonder.

These forums don't appear to be monitored at all anymore - Its all looking like a slippery slope into insignificance.

Yes, many of the posts I am finding in searches end in 2010, most posts after that are just spam and backlinks.

I notice the Interspire blog was last posted in in 2010 as well.

Good grief no...

The product is all but dead now... Quite a few reasonable alternatives are appearing too by all accounts.
