Default how to add another column of Categories to main page

I am trying to adjust the amount of categories that show up in a row on the main page. Right now it is 3 and I would like it to be around 4 or 5. I have searched and messed around and pulled my hair out trying to figure it out. Obviously I am fairly new to php but know enough to be dangerous.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thank you

I was a little confused at first as you mention columns in your posts title, and rows in the body of your post. But, I was gonna suggest you might take a look at the templates>Panels>CategoriesPanel.html and try modifying it.

I got started by adding additional td's:

Hope that helps.

Why didn't you write your reply here to help others?

Took me a long time to figure it out but eventually found it in the init.php file:

Code:
	// In the categories grid, how many do we display per row ?
	define('CATEGORIES_PER_ROW', 3);
