Default Custom Styles in WYSIWYG editor

Is there a way to customize what the user sees with the WYSIWYG html editor in Sendstudio NX?

I'd like to provide a set of "styles" in a dropdown for the user to select. Although I would like it to set the font/size/color to be inline, like it seems the editor does already.

Can I modify settings on the editor manually in the code to add specific styles? And how do I go about setting these so it represents these styles inline, like the templates do?

Thanks

I think the best bet in your situation would be to set up templates for each user, with the styles you want them to use pre-set.

That's pretty much how we do it, although from time to time, they may delete a block of text here and there, or want to use some other available style.

I assume the editor has a way to turn on/off features... like a style drop down. Or any of the other functions. ??

thanks

Hi,

Not per user without a bit of code hacking.

You can add your own stuff easily on a global scale but doing it per-user is different.

If you want info about doing that let me know.

Yeah, on a global scale is perfectly fine. Each license installed on a domain is for a specific client, which all users would be using the same styles.

Thanks

Hi Rich,

Sorry about the delays.

Edit the admin/functions/sendstudio_functions.php file and before this line:

PHP Code:
$myDE->SetValue($value);
add:

PHP Code:
$myDE->SetSnippetStylesheet("/path/to/your/stylesheet.css");
Done

Ok.. thanks. I've added this line (I used the FULL path to my stylesheet on the server) and not in relation to the actual domain I'm using. I assume this is correct?
i.e. /var/www/html/domainname.com/htdocs/email.css
as opposed to:
/email.css
??

Second, what should i see changed in the WYSIWYG editor? Where will these styles be shown? I don't see them showing in the dropdown. Anything else I'm missing to get the styles drop down to show?

thanks

Hi Rich,

Try it as a url: http://www.domain.com/email.css

They should show up in the dropdown list when the css is getting imported..

Still no go it seems, unless I'm not understanding correctly.

It looks like this in the sendstudio_functions.php file:

$myDE->SetLinkPath($ROOTDIR2);
$myDE->SetSnippetStylesheet("http://www.domain.com/email.css");
$myDE->SetValue($value);

These are a couple styles I have in my CSS:

.bluetext {
margin: 0px;
padding: 10px 10px 10px 0px;
font-family: Verdana; font-size: 11px;
color: rgb(51, 51, 102);
line-height: 15px;
}

.bluetitle {
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
font-family: Helvetica,Verdana,Arial,sans-serif;
color: rgb(0, 51, 102);
font-size: 28px;
letter-spacing: -1px; font-weight: normal;
line-height: 34px;
}

Should those be showing up in the first drop down that says "Default" and has a list of some fonts? Or am I still missing something?

Thanks

Sorry to be a pest, but any other ideas of what needs to happen to have styles show up in the editor?

It's pretty much the last necessary thing for releasing the MLM tool to our client.

Is there a certain format or specific styles that it can only read?
Am I maybe doing something wrong, or missing doing something?

Anything else I can try to make it work?

Thanks
