Deliverability Overview Articles

Email deliverability has become a very complex issue, due to prevalence of unsolicited bulk
email (aka SPAM).  Mail servers have enacted a vast array of security measures to protect
against this growing problem.  Consequently, it has become increasingly difficult to
demonstrate the authenticity of legitimate email.  Ultimately, this decision is made by the
receiving mail server, and the recipients themselves.  However, their decisions are based
primarily on the content of the email, as well as verifying the authenticity and reputation
of the sending server.
IEM sends email, but it does so by handing the messages off to an external SMTP server,
which it does not control. IEM allows you to generate email content, but you actually create
the content yourself.  Since these variables are beyond the control of the application, we
are not able to provide support for these issues.  What we can do, is recommend the
following articles to get you started learning about email deliverability.  If you follow
the advice below, you should be able to significantly increase your deliverability rates.
