How can I enable PHP 5 with 1&1 hosting?

By default 1&1 hosting has PHP 4 enabled, however Interspire Shopping Cart requires PHP 5. To enable PHP 5 on your hosting account, simply edit the .htaccess file in your Interspire Shopping Cart's main folder and add this line at the top of the file:

AddType x-mapp-php5 .php

Save the changes, reupload the file to your server and you will now be able to run Interspire Shopping Cart.
