I cannot connect to a user's FTP server

This two steps article can help you troubleshoot this issue.

Step 1. Are FTP details you have for this user correct?
SiteCenter works through FTP, so you need the correct data for the FTP server, FTP username and FTP password. To check if your details are correct, connect from your computer to your customer's server FTP. You can use any FTP client, like FileZilla, WS_FTP or CuteFTP.

If you cannot connect, you'll have to confirm the FTP details with your customer or with your customer's server administrator.

If the FTP details are correct, you will be able to connect normally and browse through his files. Proceed to step 2.


Step 2. Can your server connect to your customer's FTP?
This situation can happen for a number of reasons and only your server administrator can assess it properly. Attached here is a test file so you can check the connection outside SiteCenter.

Upload this script to the server where SiteCenter is installed. Browse to it and enter the FTP details for your customer. This script will attempt to connect and retrieve your customer's server file list.
