How do I control what products a customer can see?

The shopping cart allows you to control what products a customer can see in the store. This is done by setting up customer groups, and then assigning customers to that group. Below are the steps needed to accomplish this task.
  1. After you have logged into the control panel click the Customers tab which will give you a drop down menu.
  2. Then click on Customer Groups. This will take you to another page that displays all the groups set up for your shopping cart.
  3. Now click on the Create a Customer Group button.
  4. When the page loads you will want to enter a name for this group.
  5. After you have entered a name for the group you will notice Group Access right under the Group Name. Uncheck the box next to , and this will give you a list of all your product categories for your store.
  6. Now put a check mark in the categories that you would like the group to have access to.
  7. Once you have completed that click the Save button to save the changes.
