How do I add tax to a specific countries or states?

Sometime it is necessary to have tax settings applied to certain countries or states. If you would like to learn how to apply tax to certain countries or states please follow the steps below.
  1. Make sure you are logged into the control panel of your shopping cart. Then click the blue Settings link at the top of the page. This will make a drop down menu appear.
  2. In this drop down menu click Tax Settings which will take you to the proper page.
  3. In the Configure Tax Settings section of the page select the radio button for I want to apply tax for specific countries and/or states.
  4. Then click the Save button. This will make a new tab appear for Tax Options. Click this tab.
  5. Then click the Add a Tax Rate button towards the bottom of the information.
  6. Please fill in the required information on this page to suit your needs. If you select a country that has states then a new box will appear that list the states for that country.
  7. Click the Save button to save the changes you have made.
